Rebranding

What? Surely I jest! But alas, I am not. No, my dear followers, it is time to rebrand.

This is not something that I would suggest for any blog, but I felt that it needed to be done for a few reasons. But first let me tell you exactly what we are rebranding to!

The new name for what was formerly Geekery Gears will now be Ashley’s Anime! Nice name huh?

For those of you who follow me on social media, you probably know that I have had the Twitter and Instagram handle ashleysanime for a year or so now. I figured, since this name hasn’t been taken by anyone else, it’d be a shame not to use it for the blog.

Not only that, but despite liking the name, I feel that Geekery Gears just doesn’t convey the message I want nor does it tell you, the readers, what this blog is all about. If I were covering a variety of fandoms and a variety of things in geek culture, maybe. But even the games and cosplays I follow/review revolve strictly around anime, and therefor I felt that the name and brand should reflect that.

This is a big move and I understand that it’s going to be a little confusing, but I think it will be beneficial to the blog overall. With a lot of advancements in my writing career, I think I could take this blog to the next level.

The blog will be under for just a few weeks, but once we are back up and running with the new logo and name, I will explain exactly how things are going to be ran on Ashley’s Anime!

In the meantime, enjoy the demo logos the lovely Adam Barba made for me! We may edit them a little, but I love them and think we will stick with them for the new brand. Let me know what you think in the comment section below and follow Adam on Instagram and Twitter!
